Our team is comprised of experts with more than 50 years of combined experience working in the field of education. Collectively, we have:

Bios
Nadine Sánchez
Nadine Sánchez is a Latinx educator and school principal who believes that educational justice begins with the centering of students and community. Nadine facilitates braver dialogue on equity and cultural responsiveness for her district, and has eliminated punitive disciplinary practices in her school. As co-founder of Courageous Voices, she holds space for over 100 educators and community members in Central Jersey seeking to gain sociopolitical consciousness and connect with other educators committed to antiracism and equity. Nadine co-leads efforts to operationalize equity on a systems level within her district through data analysis, policy revision, and professional development and has presented at various forums on her work in transforming systems in support of all students.
Ryan Coughlan
Ryan Coughlan is a professor and advocate who has centered his career on advancing educational justice. He began this work as an environmental science teacher at a public school in New York City. Since earning his PhD, he has published extensively on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our school systems. Most recently, he co-authored Making School Integration Work, an in-depth look at one New Jersey school district’s history of desegregation and integration. His work has been featured in major news outlets, including The New York Times and NPR, and he has played an instrumental role supporting the efforts of the Latino Action Network and the Black Parents Workshop to end school segregation. Dr. Coughlan is an Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership for Diverse Learning Communities Doctoral Program at Molloy College.
Danielle Mastrogiovanni
Danielle Mastrogiovanni is an educator and activist who has always been fueled by the belief that all children deserve access to schools that provide opportunities for them to grow both academically and emotionally. With over two decades of experience, Danielle has created and implemented culturally responsive curriculum for children at all grade levels. Danielle has also served as a Literacy Coach and most recently transitioned into a leadership role where she is currently the Supervisor of both English Language Arts and Social Studies. In addition to speaking at multiple local and state forums, her work around the teaching of diverse perspectives and inclusive history has been showcased by EdWeek and Newsela. Danielle is currently conducting research on district-level leadership and the sustainability of culturally responsive systems.
As a team, we mobilize our complementary skills to best serve our clients in their work to ensure that children in their districts attend transformative schools that are free from systemic inequalities.
